League of Legends. Team Curse adds Piglet

Team Curse’s fourth place finish in the 2014 League Championship Series (LCS) Summer Split has caused the management to re-evaluate the organization as a whole. The team’s showing in the Summer Split and subsequent playoffs shined a light on what needed to be done for the future of Team Curse. A restructuring of the team’s management was in order and long-time Team Curse AD carry (ADC) David “Cop” Roberson was signed to the Curse Academy roster. While there were plenty of candidates to choose from to fill the open position on the main roster, management based their decision around play-style and work ethic that would benefit the team.

Following the re-signing of the four current players on the roster, Team Curse is pleased to (finally) announce the acquisition of Chae "Piglet" Gwang-jin to the main League of Legends roster, solidifying the line-up moving into the 2015 LCS season. He will play ADC, joining Team Curse support Alex “Xpecial” Chu in the bottom lane.

“I thank Team Curse for giving me an awesome chance to play as a pro again,” said Piglet. “If I reach Worlds next year, I would be a member of Team Curse. I'll play my best so Team Curse can become the world champions of Season 5.”
Piglet has become an internationally recognized League of Legends player after his last team, SK Telecom T1, won the 2013 Summoner's Cup in front of a sell-out crowd at the renowned Staples Center in Los Angeles, CA. Piglet was also recipient of the Best ADC title at the 2013 Korean eSports Awards. He is widely known for his devotion to team practices, earning the nickname "Practice Worm" due to his 4 - 5 hours of sleep and 15 - 16 hours of practice a day. Piglet’s incredible work ethic is a trait Team Curse felt set him apart from other free agent ADCs.

“Having Piglet on our team is going to be huge,” said Team Curse manager Steve Perino. “He has shown that he is a force to be reckoned with on the highest stages. He will bring an unmatched work ethic that we hope will spread like wildfire through the rest of our players. From what I hear, he is a coach’s dream player, which means working with him will be very easy for Peter Zheng and Mark Zimmerman, our head coach and head analyst. I think the acquisition of Piglet can only help us with creating a winning culture and growing the Team Curse fan base internationally, as well as here in North America (NA). We are so happy to have a world champion on our team.”
He will be joining the four returning members and utilizing the tools provided by our sponsors to help propel Team Curse to the top of the NA LCS. “I simply can't wait to practice again,” said Xpecial.

Xpecial continued, “With the arrival of Piglet, I will need to prove again that I still have what it takes to be among the best and I will work to push our bot lane to become world class. There are many obstacles in the way of this path and this is one challenge I'm excited to meet head on.”
The tandem of 2013 All-Star support Xpecial, considered by most to be one of the best support players in the world, and Piglet, who brings excellent mechanics to the ADC position, will make the Team Curse bottom lane one of the most feared in the North American LCS.
